Match Results System
Overview
The match results system ensures fair and accurate scoring through a peer-verification process. Both teams must agree on the score before it becomes final.
Requirements for Scoring
- Match must have exactly 4 active players (2 per team)
- Match start time must have passed
- Match must be a competitive match (casual matches don't have scoring)
- No pending score or rejection already exists
Step 1: Submit Score
Who can submit?
Any player from either team who participated in the match.
How to submit:
- After the match starts, the "Add Score" button becomes available
- Tap the button to open the score entry sheet
- Enter the score for each set (best of 3):
- Set 1 (required)
- Set 2 (required)
- Set 3 (optional - only if match went to 3 sets)
- Scores must follow standard padel rules:
- Winner needs at least 6 games
- Must win by 2-game advantage (e.g., 6-4, 7-5)
- Or 7-6 for tie-break victories
- Tap "Submit Score"
What happens next:
- The score becomes "pending"
- The score is locked (first submission wins)
- Players on the opposite team are notified to review
Step 2: Review & Approval
Who can approve?
- Only players from the opposite team can approve
- Players from the same team who submitted cannot approve (prevents bias)
âąī¸ Automatic Approval: If no one from the opposite team approves or rejects the score within 4 hours, the score will be automatically approved and the match will be completed.
Option A: Approve Score
- Review the submitted score
- Verify each set is correct
- Tap "Approve"
- Match is immediately completed!
- Ranking points update automatically
- Final score is displayed with trophy for winner
Option B: Reject Score
- If score is incorrect, tap "Reject"
- Confirm you want to reject
- Must provide a reason
- The rejection is submitted
- Pending score is cleared
- All players see "Score Under Review"
- Support will contact players
Step 3: Automatic Processing
Once a score is approved:
- Match status changes to "completed"
- For competitive matches only:
- System calculates ranking points changes for all 4 players
- Updates each player's ranking points
- Increments matches played counter
- Final score is permanently saved
- Match appears in player history

- "Waiting for Approval" badge with clock icon
- Shows who submitted and the score table
- Message: "Waiting for the other team to approve"
Opposite Team's Submission
- "Review Score" card with alert icon
- Shows who submitted and the score table
- Approve and Reject buttons available
After Approval
- "Result" card with trophy icon
- Final score table showing winner
- Trophy icon next to winning team
After Rejection
- "Score Under Review" notice for all players
- Purple info icon and border
- Message: "Customer Support will contact you to resolve this"
Important Rules
- One submission per match: First submitted score is locked
- Cross-team verification: Opposite team must approve
- 4-hour automatic approval: If no response within 4 hours, score is automatically approved
- Mandatory rejection reason: Can't reject without explaining why
- No re-submission after rejection: Support team handles disputes
- Competitive matches only: Casual/open matches don't affect ranking points
Example: Score Dispute
Situation:
- Team A submits score: 6-4, 6-2 (Team A wins)
- Team B believes actual score was: 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 (Team A wins)
What happens:
- Team B rejects with reason: "Third set was missing, actual score 6-4, 4-6, 6-4"
- Match shows "Under Review" for all players
- Customer Support contacts both teams
- Support verifies correct score and manually updates
- Match completes with correct score
- Ranking points adjusted based on accurate result
Match Status Badges
Status badges help you quickly understand what's happening with your matches and what actions you need to take. Each badge has a specific color that indicates the type of status.
đ´ Action Required (Orange)
These badges indicate that you need to take action. Matches with these statuses will also have a thick orange border around the entire card to make them stand out.
What it means: The opposite team submitted a score and you need to review and approve or reject it.
What to do: Open the match, review the submitted score, and either approve it if correct or reject it with a reason if incorrect. You have 4 hours to respond before the score is automatically approved.
What it means: The match has finished but no one has submitted the final score yet.
What to do: Open the match and tap "Add Score" to submit the final result. Any player from either team can submit the score.
âšī¸ Informational (Gray)
These badges keep you informed about the match status but don't require immediate action from you.
What it means: Your team submitted a score and you're waiting for the opposite team to review and approve it.
What to do: Nothing right now. The opposite team has 4 hours to respond. If they don't respond within 4 hours, the score will be automatically approved.
â ī¸ Special Status
What it means: A score was submitted but rejected by the opposite team. The match is now being reviewed by Customer Support.
What to do: Wait for Customer Support to contact you. They will help resolve the score dispute and ensure the correct result is recorded.
What it means: The match has been cancelled and will not be played.
What to do: Nothing. This match won't affect your ranking points or match history.
â Completed Matches
Completed matches don't show a status badge. Instead, they display the final score with a trophy icon next to the winning team.
