These terms and conditions apply to the Korta app (the "App") for mobile devices, created by Korta. By using the App, you agree to these terms.
1. Introduction
Korta is a platform that helps padel players find and organize matches. The App is currently free to use, though we may introduce paid features in the future.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App without permission. All intellectual property rights remain with Korta.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 4 years old to use the App
- Users under 13 (or under 16 in the EU) need parental consent
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account
4. Your Account
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information (name, email, phone number)
- Keep your password secure
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Maintain only one account
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in harmful behavior.
5. How the App Works
Important: Korta is a platform for organizing matches. We do NOT:
- Book courts for you
- Organize matches ourselves
- Take responsibility for player conduct
- Handle court payments or reservations
You are responsible for:
- Booking and paying for courts
- Showing up to matches you join
- Communicating with other players
- Following match rules and etiquette
6. User Conduct
You agree to:
- Use the App respectfully and lawfully
- Be honest about your information and ranking
- Show up to matches you commit to
- Report inappropriate behavior
You agree NOT to:
- Harass or discriminate against other users
- Submit fake scores or manipulate ranking points
- Create multiple or fake accounts
- Use the App for unauthorized commercial purposes
Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent account termination.
7. Ranking System
Your ranking points (500 to 7000+) and rank (E through A0) are determined by:
- Your initial onboarding assessment (starting points)
- Competitive match results based on opponent strength and score
- Base points from team difference (6 winner/loser brackets)
- Score bonus based on game differential
Important: Rankings reflect competitive performance and may fluctuate based on match results. Don't manipulate your ranking by submitting false scores or engaging in match-fixing.
8. Your Content
You keep ownership of content you post (profile info, match notes, messages). By posting content, you give us permission to display and use it to operate the App.
Your content must:
- Be accurate and truthful
- Not violate others' rights
- Not contain inappropriate or harmful material
We can remove content that violates these terms.
9. Privacy
Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and use your information as described there. You can delete your account at any time through App Settings.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES. We are not responsible for:
- Actions or conduct of other users
- Injuries during matches
- Court availability or quality
- Disputes between users
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KORTA IS NOT LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Personal injury or property damage
- Any damages exceeding $0 (since the App is currently free)
You agree to hold Korta harmless from any claims arising from your use of the App.
12. Changes to the App and Terms
We may update the App or these terms at any time. We'll notify you of material changes. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated terms.
13. Account Termination
You can delete your account anytime through the App settings. We may terminate your access for violating these terms or for any reason at our discretion.
